•SUSPENSION OF INDUS WATER TREATY
India has suspended the 1960 treaty governing water sharing of the Indus River system, pending Pakistan's cessation of support for cross-border terrorism.
SECURITY CRACKDOWN: Authorities have detained approximately 1,500 individuals in Kashmir and demolished the homes of suspected militants. The Indian military has identified three suspects, including two Pakistani nationals, and is conducting extensive operations to apprehend them.
DIPLOMATIC DECISION : All Pakistani nationals holding SAARC visas have been ordered to leave India within 48 hours. Additionally, Pakistani military, naval, and air advisors in India have been declared 'persona non grata'. India has also closed the Wagah-Attari border crossing and expelled Pakistani diplomats
INTERNATIONAL REACTION
Pakistan has rejected India's accusations and retaliated by suspending the 1972 Simla Agreement and closing its airspace to Indian airlines. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has warned of strong retaliation and expressed openness to an international investigation.
